Lush greenery frames the view of a tranquil mountain lake, surrounded by mountains under a cloudy sky.

Route information:

From the mountain station, the forest road descends a short distance towards Lake Laudachsee, past the observation tower of the treetop walk. In the depression, a slightly steeper path leads up to the left until you reach the viewing bench at the top of the Hochgschirr hill. From here, you have a particularly beautiful view of the Traunstein, Lake Traunsee far below, the Höllengebirge range, and, if the weather is good, you can even see the Dachstein in the south. After enjoying the view, continue along the ridge until, after a five-minute walk, the path leads to the right through the high forest back down to the forest road.

From there, you can either continue towards Lake Laudachsee or follow the forest road back to the mountain station.
