Halloween and pumpkin hunt

Throughout the autumn holiday week, the treetop walk Salzkammergut transforms into a spookily beautiful adventure trail:

• Halloween atmosphere on the Treetop Walk:

  • a lovingly decorated trail featuring witches, ghosts and Halloween motifs

  • plenty of photo spots for your spooky yet beautiful souvenir photos

  • an autumnal atmosphere high above the forest floor with views of Lake Traunsee and the Dachstein

The combination of nature, views and Halloween decorations makes the Grünberg in the Salzkammergut a special destination for hiking with children and intergenerational outings.

• Pumpkin hunt competition for young and old:

  • Pumpkins are hidden along the trail, just waiting to be discovered.

  • You’ll be taking part in a competition with the chance to win great prizes.

  • The competition is suitable for adults and children.

This way, you can combine your walk on the family-friendly Grünberg with fun, games and an autumnal challenge for the whole family.

• Regional pumpkin tasting along the trail:

  • 30 October and 31 October 2026, 11:00–14:00 on both days

  • The local pumpkin farmer from “Wiesinger Traunsteinkernöl” will be visiting.

  • Presentation and tasting of pumpkin products right on the treetop walk.
