At the kids theatre workshop on the Grünberg by Lake Traunsee, nature becomes a stage under the guidance of Carina Unterberger, a qualified nursery and theatre teacher. Over the course of around 60 minutes, children play, invent and tell their own stories – right in the heart of the Salzkammergut and easily accessible via the Grünberg cable car. A maximum of 15 children take part, ensuring there is plenty of space to experiment.
Theatre in nature: playing, storytelling, discoveringIn this workshop, nature itself becomes the stage: trees, meadows and stones become part of the stories. Through improvisational theatre, exciting scenes are created together – without having to learn any lines, drawing entirely on their own imagination.
What the children can expect:
Games and exercises to settle in and warm up
Improvisation scenes in and with nature
A box full of props and costumes
Plenty of space to join in, laugh and be creative
It is not the finished play that matters, but the journey together: trying things out, being allowed to fail, starting afresh and creating something together.
Focus on the environment, sustainability & resourcesThe children’s theatre workshop combines play and movement with important topics for the future:
Environment & nature: How does a tree feel? What does a mountain forest need to stay healthy?
Resources: What do we really need to live well?
Sustainability: How can we look after our world properly?
Through role-play and storytelling, the children develop an understanding of how nature, the environment and resources are interconnected – right on the Grünberg in the Salzkammergut, with views of Lake Traunsee and the surrounding mountains.
