From 29.03.2025, the cable car will run up the Grünberg again. Numerous attractions are waiting to be discovered - from the summer toboggan run to the treetop path and the Grünberg friends adventure trail.

The cable car operates daily from 9:00 am to 17:30 pm.

A new adventure trail for children has been created on the Grünberg in Gmunden. The Grünberg friends, consisting of Ferdl Fuchs, Emil Eichhorn, Sigi Esel, Rudi Maus and Betty Bär, tell the story of the Grünberg. The Grünberg trail leads from the mountain station around the summit to the lake Laudachsee.

Interactive audio stations tell the story of the friends and provide clues to solve the riddles.

With the existing leisure activities on the mountain and the new adventure trail, the Grünberg offers the perfect setting for an all-day family excursion.

NEW: There is now a photo trap at the Grünberg-Flitzer summer toboggan run.

A photo trap awaits you in one of the fast bends. With just one click, you can get a great souvenir of your adventurous ride.

With the new combi-ticket Traunseetram , guests can travel in comfort on the Traunseetram to the valley station of the Grünberg cable car. The price includes one ascent and descent on the Grünberg cable car and a day ticket for the Traunseetram.

The combi-ticket Traunseetram is available with or without the treetop walk.

The PV system on the Grünberg is growing. There has already been a photovoltaic system on the roof of the valley station and the mountain station of the Grünberg mountain railway since 2021.

Now the roof of the entrance to the summer toboggan run has also been equipped with a PV system. With a further 38 kilowatt peak, the total with the cable car stations on the Grünberg is now 70 kilowatt peak.

The Grünberg cable car with its offer on the mountain was certified by fulfilling 160 quality criteria and was particularly impressive in the category Family Mountain. Innovative offers such as the Grünberg-Flitzer summer toboggan run, the treetop walk Salzkammergut and the adventure playground with the low ropes course are key factors for the Austria-wide award.

The Grünberg was honoured at Austria's largest summer cable car test in 2022 and won gold twice.

The Grünberg also received three further awards as part of the test.
